coaching staff

Coach Silk is a native of Walker and a Walker High School Alumni. Silk was a four year Varsity athlete at Walker High, qualifying for state 3 out of 4 years. In 2002 she earned a overall ranking of 6th in the 60m hurdles indoors, 8th  for the 100m hurdles outdoors and 6th for the 800m in the state of Louisiana outdoors. She was a 2002 AAU National Qualifier in the 400 meter hurdles. Following high school she signed a scholarship with Southeastern Louisiana University for Track and Cross Country where she competed in the Southland Conference for three years.  Silk began her coaching career while still competing at the collegiate level. Areas of expertise include sprints, hurdles, mid-distance, and distance training.
